Chris Delisa

Influenced by Black Sabbath and Deep Purple, Chris first picked up the electric guitar in 2004. While in high school, Chris broadened his horizons as he began taking jazz guitar lessons with David Bailey. After graduating high school, Chris was inspired by the music of Fransisco Tárrega to pursue a career teaching and performing classical guitar.

While studying with Alex Komodore at Metropolitan State University of Denver, Chris played in master classes for Martha Masters, Ekachai Jearakul, Matt Palmer, and Dimitris Kotronakis. In 2015, Chris participated in the Concerto Competition and performed an honors recital at MSU Denver. Chris received the Music Talent Award and the Jim Altman Guitar Scholarship on multiple occasions during his time at MSU Denver. He is currently teaching and gigging around Denver/Boulder.
