Russian soprano Ekaterina Kotcherguina is a flexible performer, equally compelling when portraying light-hearted damsels or tragic heroines. A recent M.M. graduate of the University of Oklahoma, she holds an affinity for music of the Baroque and Classical period and particularly enjoys singing innovative interpretations of the Baroque and bel canto repertoire. Ms. Kotcherguina is currently working on attaining her Performance Certificate in Opera and Solo Vocal Performance at CU-Boulder and is a member of Opera on Tap-Colorado. She recently performed the role of Adina in L’elisir d’amore (Boulder Opera Company), Blanche in Dialogues of the Carmelites, Pamina in Die Zauberflöte (Eklund Opera Theatre), and had a debut with Arkansas company Opera In The Rock as Musetta in La bohème. She was recently awarded 1st place in the Denver Lyric Opera Guild Competition. She has studied piano performance for over 10 years, and she currently works with students of all ages and levels in the Denver/Boulder area on voice and piano.
