Katie Cox is a multi-instrumentalist and board certified music therapist from South Carolina. Her primary instruments are piano, violin, and guitar. She graduated from College of Charleston in 2009 with her B.A. in Music Theory and Composition, where she also had several original compositions premiere. Katie earned her B.A. in Music Therapy from Converse College and moved to San Diego for her clinical internship in 2016, earning her MT-BC credentials later that year.
Katie practices music therapy locally and has taught clients of all ages and abilities to play instruments. She likes to incorporate basic theory into her lessons and caters to the preferences and goals of her clients, whether it’s learning to read music, chord charts, tabs, or trying a particular style. Katie enjoys listening to and learning all styles of music.
