Maggie Hinchliffe

Maggie is a performer and teacher with a passion for storytelling through music. She has a Master of Music in Collaborative Piano from the Eastman School of Music, a Bachelor of Music in Piano Performance and Pedagogy from Vanderbilt University, and a Precollege Diploma in Piano Performance from the Manhattan School of Music.

At Vanderbilt, Maggie accompanied vocal recitals, master classes, and the Vanderbilt Opera Theater. She taught piano through the pedagogy department and downtown at Nashville’s W.O. Smith Community Music School, graduating with both the Achievement in Teaching Recognition Award and the Collaborative Arts Award. At Eastman, Maggie was a graduate assistant in Opera Accompanying and Studio Accompanying, playing vocal and instrumental recitals. She also accompanied Eastman Community Music School lessons and children’s theater productions.

Outside of studies and during summers, Maggie spends her time practicing, running, hiking, and creative writing. She has also worked at the Aspen Music Festival and School, the Nashville Ballet, and Interlochen Center for the Arts.
