About

Hui Lim, a native of Singapore, is a graduate of the Eastman School of Music (B.M.) and Indiana University Jacobs School of Music. (M.M.) She currently performs regularly with the Phoenix Symphony and is a tenured violinist of Las Vegas Philharmonic and the tenured Associate Principal Second Violin of Boise Philharmonic.

Hui has taught for more than 15 years, including previously as teaching assistant to Eliot Chapo, former Concertmaster of the New York Philharmonic and also on the faculty at Nanyang Academy of Fine Arts School of Young Talent. Her students have consistently achieved entrances to regional youth orchestras and won 1st and 2nd place at regional competitions.

During her schooling days Hui was selected to be part of Asian Youth Orchestra as a representative of Singapore and also won 2nd prize at the National Piano and Violin Competition in Singapore.

She lives in Ahwatukee with her husband, Tiantian, Principal Viola of Phoenix Symphony, and Snowbear and Almond, their two demanding Cat Babies. The kitties love Phoenix!
