Avanni Cherie Sykes is from Douglasville, GA, where she began her piano lessons at the age of 6 at the Jackson’s Music Store Incorporated. While in middle school, she received private piano lessons with Dr. Carla Robinson. In high school, Avanni was a member of the Hiram High School band where she played the synthesizer in the front ensemble for four years. She recently graduated from Reinhardt University where she studied voice with Dr. Anne Beloncik Schantz, and piano with Dr. Alex Wasserman for four years. She was labeled Summa Cum Laude and received her Bachelor of Music in Performance Degree and Minor in Dance. Currently, she has been singing and volunteering in her community. In her spare time, Avanni loves to workout and spend time with her family while continuing her performance in music.
