About

Megan Magill grew up in DFW, but now resides in South Austin. She is currently a senior undergraduate student at Texas State University pursuing her Bachelor’s in Vocal Performance. As a vocalist, she performs with the university’s top choral ensemble, the Texas State Chorale. She is also an active member of the Opera program, performing in several productions, including her most recent role as Adele in Die Fledermaus.
Megan’s musical journey started with taking voice lessons at 7 years old. Throughout adolescence, she maintained heavy involvement in choir and theatre programs, landing her in Varsity choirs, many musical theatre roles, professional youth ensembles, and even a student-led female acapella group. Megan has experience in the TMEA All-State Auditions, Solo and Ensemble Competition, Thespian IE Auditions, Choral UIL, NATS competitions, and College Music Auditions.
As a teacher, she begins with your students’ musical interests as the core of the curriculum. Passionate about all forms of music, she also pulls from a repertoire of art songs, arias, oratorio, musical theatre, jazz standards, and classic Disney hits. She is happy to teach any age and any level. Megan has had the pleasure to volunteer to teach lessons in the past through a non-profit studio in which she taught elementary students with learning disabilities and financial need. Through this, she has discovered the joys of pedagogy and helping students grow through music education.
She currently lives in South Austin with her partner and their fur babies. She spends her free time rewatching Demon Slayer, reading the latest fantasy and music history books her library offers, and playing Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom, among other things.
