Sarah Keller was born and raised in Denver, Colorado. When she’s not teaching voice, guitar, or songwriting lessons, she works as a preschool music educator, helps run Swallow Hill Music’s Quinlan Café, and writes songs and performs with her band, mud & marrow, on vocals, guitar, and bass.

Sarah’s teaching philosophy centers around developing strong fundamentals in rhythm, ear training, note reading, harmony (chords), and technical exercises like scales and arpeggios. In addition to understanding these critical components of music, she works with her students to craft their original sound and play the music in their sound library.

With a pinch of rigor, her students can expect to write their own songs, read music and play with other musicians. Since her students play whatever music they want to learn, they don’t always notice how hard they’re working. Sarah can’t wait to help get started on your musical goals in a positive and fun environment.
