Cristian Cervantes originally grew up in the little town of Lindsay, California and now currently resides in beautiful Portland, Oregon. He began teaching himself piano at the age of 14 after he heard Beethoven's Moonlight Sonata. Ever since then, his passion for music has only grown. Cristian has experience in performing for more intimate crowds such as intermissions for plays or screenings of old movies and as background music to dinner parties, but mostly plays for pure enjoyment and development of this artform. His real passion is in teaching others the joy that music has brought him. After attending College of the Sequoias in California, he decided to dive head first at starting his own business as a private teacher and has done so for over 10 years. Cristian has taught and will teach students of any age because he truly feels everyone should learn to play music. The main styles of music he teaches and knows well are: Classical music, Anime/video game and a little of jazz and pop/rock. His teaching style is relaxed and laid back but has no problem getting strict when it comes to proper habit forming and best practice methods.
