Sergio has been playing the drums since he was is 6th grade. During Middle School and High School he played with the Valley Center Concert, marching, and jazz bands. He was drum captain for 3 years in high school where they took many awards such as best percussion section award. After Graduating in 2019 he returned to work at Valley Center Middle School as a drum Instructor. The following year In 2020 he took over the drum instructor and Band Choreographer position at Valley Center High School. In 2022 he played one season with the SDSU Marching Aztecs, in which he had the opportunity to perform in many different settings such as basketball, and football games. They also played at a number of band exhibitions throughout California.

During all of this time he has also been part of many different small bands in the north county area playing at many private events such as weddings and birthday parties.
