Daniel Olivarez arises from McAllen, Texas in the Rio Grande Valley where he began playing saxophone during his 6th grade year and throughout all of his middle school, high school and college years. Currently, Daniel is an active and enthusiastic performing artist residing in Pflugerville, Texas and the surrounding Austin areas. Most recently, he’s played alongside local groups and assisted with national acts as a fill in for guitar.
He is a member of the Texas Music Educators Association. Daniel currently teaches Mariachi for Manor Independent School District. He has held various teaching positions as a band director and music instructor for Progreso ISD, United ISD, Houston ISD, Beaumont ISD and Sessions Music in Sugar Land, Texas. His main instruments are Saxophone and Guitar. He holds a BA in Music from the University of Texas - Pan American in Edinburg, Texas as well as participating in 2 years of Master classes in Ashland, Oregon with American Band College.

Daniel enjoys living in Texas, though he does enjoy being an avid traveler. Many of his destinations include, New Mexico, Arizona, California, Oregon, Florida, Louisiana, Alabama and Colorado. He lives in Pflugerville, Texas with his pitbull Lita and cat Coco
