Madison has been a music educator and performer for 12 years. She is familiar with teaching in group and one on one settings to a wide age range of ages (4-65+) as well as learning styles and intellectual disabilities including autism spectrum and ADHD. Each lesson is curated to the student's natural strengths, opportunities for growth and interests, while keeping a steady pace, as not to rush the process. In lessons, warm-ups and most recent assignments are reviewed and new material is presented with guidance. If/when things get stressful or overwhelming, there's room for games and light "jamming" (improvisational skills). Because everyone feels different from day to day, lesson structures may vary as to adhere to the natural flow of life. Madison fully enjoys teaching music and lives for those "ah-ha!" moments. She firmly believes that music is not only a wonderful form of expression, but also a helpful tool for healing and cognitive development. She says, "Everyone deserves to rock out and be heard! Connecting with music is connecting with oneself. The more we listen, the more we play, the more we feel connected to ourselves, those around us, and life.
