Katie lives in Minneapolis, and currently teaches band in a nearby suburb. Katie studied flute and music education at the University of Wisconsin - Eau Claire. She holds a degree in music education and a current MN teaching license. This is Katie's 8th year teaching band and she has taught students grades 6-12 with skills ranging from beginners to state level solo/ensemble participants. When she is not at school or teaching lessons, Katie enjoys spending time outdoors hiking, running and camping with her husband, Ryan, and dog, Daisy.
