About

Jacquline Hayes has taught music lessons since 2016. She is currently attending classes at Portland State University pursuing a Bachelor's of Music Education studying under Coty Raven Morris and Mari Schay. This summer, she was a Teaching Artist for BRAVO! Music and Performing Arts' Choir. She also has taught weekly after school music classes at Vernon Elementary and Beach Elementary in Portland, Oregon in collaboration with SUN (Schools Uniting Neighborhoods) and PSU for the past two years.

Prior to transferring to Portland State University, Jacquline was a student at Linn-Benton Community College in Albany, Oregon. During her time there, she co-taught a weekly music class at the Corvallis and Albany Boys & Girls Clubs for three years in partnership with LBCC's Performing Arts Community Outreach.

Even as a high school student, Jacquline demonstrated her leadership in the music community. She led choir rehearsals twice a week for the Sweet Home Junior High School choir, and as needed for all Sweet Home High School choirs. For her work on these projects, she was honored with the Marine Corps. Semper Fidelis Award for Musical Excellence.
