Deinrene "Donta" Amazan was born and raised in Southern Florida. He began playing piano at 6 years of age, learning classical music first but soon falling in love with Jazz. He received his degree in music pedagogy from Oral Roberts University in 2016, and quickly afterwards he began teaching band, music appreciation and choir, and has done so for just under a decade. He has experience performing, producing music, and scoring film, with the latest film he scored being accepted into the Miami Black Film Festival. Mr. Amazan believes that students can use music to gain confidence in self expression, and encourages his students to think out of the box .
