Ripley Hicks hails from the DFW area in Texas, where she started her musical journey through voice lessons, choir, band, musical theatre, her local School of Rock, and playing in original bands. Although singing is her main instrument, she began playing alto and tenor saxophones as well as guitar and bass in her youth, and later added piano and drums to her instrument catalog. She continued her musical pursuits by earning a Music Business degree with a vocal emphasis at the University of Colorado Denver. She has performed at iconic venues such as House of Blues in Dallas, Summerfest, Trees, Globe Hall, and the Ridglea Theater. Ripley continues to live in the Denver area teaching voice lessons, performing with her band, and watching a lot of musicals.
