From Minneapolis, Minnesota
Jacob Smith started formal piano lessons at the age of two and he never looked back. After fifteen years studying with Prof. Daniela Mineva of Cal Poly Humboldt, Jacob attended Carleton College and graduated with a music degree. Jacob is well versed in classical and contemporary canons but also plays fluently by ear, a skill which he is convinced can be taught to younger students. He spent two years playing professional baseball in Europe before returning to Minnesota, where he works in a law firm in Minneapolis. Jacob welcomes all students with a love for music. He believes every student learns at their own unique "BPM" and should be taught according to their personal learning tendencies.
