About

Ivan is from Sonora, Mexico and lives in the San Diego area. He holds a B.A. degree in Music from the University of California, Santa Barbara and a Masters of Music in Opera Performance from Arizona State University. He has been teaching music for over 17 years both privately and in group. In addition, Ivan has been conducting choirs, opera and musical theater.

He has performed as a solo recitalist in California, Arizona, Mexico and Colombia where he was also a Visiting Professor at the Universidad del Quindio.

He enjoys teaching, walking, running, hiking, and seeing how his students make progress.
