Dermot Berg is originally from South Brunswick, New Jersey, where he started taking guitar lessons at the Westminster Conservatory of Music at the age of 8. After years of taking lessons and playing, he would go on to earn his B.M. in Commercial Music with an Emphasis in Music Technology from Belmont University in Nashville, Tennessee. As an active music instructor and recording artist in Nashville, Dermot loves to play and teach a wide variety of music styles including rock, pop, jazz, R&B, and much more. Most recently he has performed at the famed Ryman Auditorium, and is currently in the studio working on his first full length release. Dermot has taught all ages and experience levels, and loves to foster a positive and fun learning environment tailored to each student. In his free time, Dermot enjoys playing video games, watching movies, and spending time outdoors.
