Antonio Ruiz-Nokes earned his Bachelors of Music in Music Education and Vocal Performance from the Bienen School of Music at Northwestern University. He sang under Grammy Award-winning conductor Donald Nally with Bienen’s premier new music choir, BCE, for two years. Over the past four years, he has taught private piano, voice, and guitar lessons, and in the classroom has taught band, choir, and drama. Recently he completed choral and general music student-teaching placements at the middle school and high school levels where he taught and accompanied choirs of varying experience. He believes that music lessons should be fun, enriching, and meaningful to students, drawing from students’ interests and experiences. He teaches students of all ages and ability levels, aiming to support self confidence and expression through music.
