Larry Lee currently plays piano for the UC San Diego Jazz Ensemble under the guidance of Grammy award-winning producer and arranger Kamau Kenyatta. For the past 7 months, Larry has refined his practice in jazz piano and theory under his mentorship. His journey in music began at the age of 7, developing 11 years of experience in classical performance before delving into jazz at UC San Diego. His academic interests have demonstrably extended far outside of his major in mathematics, taking on coursework in classical theory/counterpoint, jazz theory, and production/audio engineering.
