About

Luke is a Cleveland Ohio guitar player and teacher who's played guitar since the age of 14. Over the years he's played with a variety of local Cleveland legends, including: E.T. King, The Bad Boys of the Blues, Black and Coe, Taylor Lamborn, and many others. He began teaching at the age of 23, and has enjoyed learning the language of instruction and how to communicate his passion for music to others. Luke loves being creative in general, and music is a wonderful way for him to express himself. Through teaching he's able to share that passion with a variety of interesting people and students. Luke's teaching is based around a strong foundation of technique, ear training, music theory and learning music that will be enjoyable for the student to play. Luke is very adaptable, and prefers to base his lessons around what the student likes musically and inject that into whatever music theory they explore. Luke thinks it is important for musicians to learn how to listen to the different aspects of music, and be able to discover things through ear training on their own. Luke is a proponent of improvisation, and believes that good technique and a willingness to be creative can result in a very fulfilling musical experience.
