William Tyler was born in Irvine, CA. His journey in music began when he enlisted in the military after high school. He started playing and teaching himself while overseas in other countries, learning and enjoying all the different types of music he encountered. When his enlistment was over, he attended UTSA and obtained a degree in Modern Languages, but never stopped playing and improving at guitar. While attending school, he found himself playing, writing, and performing with a variety of bands from metal and rock to the classic blues. He can be found currently jamming and rocking out with his current band on a stage, studio or garage in San Antonio while also continuing his education.
Tyler has taught his friends, bandmates, and a variety of students young and old guitar for 4 years and can teach any age. He prefers to find out the student’s goals, likes and dislikes in music to help create engaging and fun lessons help students find the joy in music that he did when he started teaching himself.
