About

Stu Lippa has been teaching full time for the last 25 years. He was born in NYC, grew up in Denver CO, and now teaches electric and acoustic guitar in Phoenix Arizona. Stu has taught students between the ages of 5 and 80 years old, some who have gone on to have successful music careers. He also has experience teaching students with disabilities and learning disorders.

Stu holds a degree in Advanced Performance and Guitar Craft from Musicians Institute College of Contemporary Music in Hollywood CA. He also studied Guitar Performance at Berklee College of Music in Boston Mass and attended the Guitar Institute of Technology in Hollywood CA. Additionally he has a Marketing Degree from Metropolitan State University where he won the Colorado Scholar Award.

Stu has been performing original music and covers on stages since 1994. He toured full time between 1999 and 2003 with bands, Vendetta and WishDoctor playing in Colorado, Texas, and Wyoming. Stu has played Lead Guitar for tribute bands featuring the music of Alice Cooper, Journey, Judas Priest, and Van Halen and has opened shows for LA guns, Bruce Kulick, John Corabi, White Lion, Fabulous Thunderbirds, Wildside, and Jake E Lee’s Red Dragon Cartel. Stu was featured in the 2016 Heavy Metal Documentary film “Hair I Go Again” as Lead Guitarist for the band “Bullet In The Chamber” having contributed to studio and live, writing parts for the band.

Stu is an accomplished and diverse Musical Instructor who caters to student’s individual styles and interests while making lessons fun and easy!
