About

Courtney Liscio is 32 years old and resides in Marblehead, MA. Specializing in opera, musical theater, and pop/alternative music, she is excited to apply her years of vocal training and pedagogy at Traveling Music Lessons. She has her Masters in Music in Opera Performance from Longy School of Music as well as a B.A. in Vocal Performance. Courtney loves to teach and inspire children as a theater teacher at KIPP Academy in Lynn, MA where she also serves as the music director for the elementary and middle school drama departments. Aside from teaching, she has years of professional performance experience in opera and theater. Previous roles include Celeste 1 in Sunday In The Park With George, Mrs. Nordstrom in A Little Night Music (2023 EMACT Best Musical), and Rapunzel in Into The Woods with Pentucket Players. In the summers of 2017-2019, she participated in the Hawaii Performing Arts Festival. Other notable roles include Frasquita in Carmen and Die Fledermaus Ensemble in the Trentino Music Festival in Mezzano, Italy. In her own studies, she takes vocal lessons with one of the faculty at NYU Steinhardt School of Music where they focus on all vocal styles. When working with her own students, she wants to help them find their own voice and sing with proper and healthy vocal technique. Courtney can't wait to share her expertise while working privately with more students.
