About

Andrea Sarmiento is currently an incoming senior at the University of Minnesota Twin Cities majoring in Choral Music Education. Her plan is to graduate in the Spring of 2025 and become a full time music teacher. Andrea Sarmiento is originally from the Philippines where she finished high school and studied guitar, piano and voice lessons. She completed one level of voice lessons at the Center for Pop Music Philippines which is the number one training school of performing arts in the Philippines. Aside from that, she has also joined a lot of amateur and national talent contests in the Philippines and here in the United States like the Minnesota Amateur Talent Contest. She has done theater productions like “Jesus Christ Superstar” and is currently performing in “The Little Mermaid”. She advocates Philippine Culture in Minnesota acting as the Cultural Chair of the Philippine Student Association for the school year 2024 - 2025. Andrea is an academic achiever named to the dean’s list.

Andrea teaches piano, guitar, ukulele and voice in the Twin Cities area to students of all ages. When she isn't engulfed in her love for music, she enjoys watching movies with her family.
