Scott Hunter is self-taught lead guitar player with 40 years experience playing. He plays in the Scott Hunter Band. He can help you learn the basics and master the instrument. He can teach anything from lead guitar to chord shapes. He can get you there!

Scott developed a passion for guitar at age 14 after seeing the movie Crossroads, featuring Steve Vai. He went to his uncle, who was an accomplished musician, to learn the basics. From him he received a great foundation in "oldies, but goodies."

With the foundation that his uncle provided, Scott went on to teach himself by ear. He is able to listen to music and within a short time be playing it note for note.

Scott's influences include not only Steve Vai, but also Eddie Van Halen, Nuno Bettencourt, Vito Bratta and Stevie Ray Vaughan.

Scott was gifted with a condition called synesthesia, which he shares with many of the greats. This condition enables him to not only hear music, but see it in colors.
