About
Jack Reynertson is a teacher, conductor, and performer in the Twin Cities Area of Minnesota where he currently teaches the Repertory and Chamber Orchestras at Edina High School. He is originally from Illinois, where he learned to play piano, percussion, and viola/violin. Jack graduated from St. Olaf College with a Music Education degree in 2020. While at St. Olaf, he performed as a percussionist with the St. Olaf Band and St. Olaf Orchestra, serving as a principal and section leader from 2019-2020. Jack performs with the Roseville String Ensemble as a violist, and continues to play percussion with various ensembles in the Twin Cities area, including the Minnetonka and Wayzata Symphony orchestras.
While studying as an Undergraduate, Jack founded the Interlude Chamber Orchestra, a summer program for music students in Illinois. He led this orchestra for two summers from 2018-2019. During the 2020-2021 School Year Jack worked as an orchestra teacher in the Burlington Area School District of Wisconsin, where he taught string students in 5th and 6th grade, as well as two orchestras at the high school level.
