About

Sam is a singer and musician from sunny Southern California, particularly from where the San Gabriel Valley, Inland Empire, and Orange County areas meet. He began singing at the age of 5, starting in the children's choir at his home church and has been singing there ever since. You can find him singing and playing weekly on Sunday mornings and Wednesday nights. He also began playing guitar at the age of 12 and has continued ever since. Over the years, he has developed his skills further by going back to school, where he earned an associate's degree in music from Chaffey College in 2021, and graduated in the spring of 2024 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Music from California Baptist University in Riverside, California. He gained performance experience in the singing area by playing at such venues as his home church, Calvary Chapel Golden Springs in Diamond Bar, as well as at other venues across Southern California, including the Lewis Family Playhouse, where he has performed in many operas, as well as at the Wallace Theater at California Baptist University, where he has been a part of a few musical theater productions, including "The Hunchback of Notre Dame". Some of his musical inspirations include The Beatles, which had a great influence on his style of playing guitar and ukulele, and Whitney Houston, whom he considers "simply the best of the best. 'Nuff said. Anyone who says otherwise simply has no idea." Sam loves music because it is one the best forms of expression that we can cultivate within ourselves, and he loves teaching music because of his desire to see those under him grow and blossom into what they can truly be. Whether you are a beginner or a seasoned professional, Sam can help you expand and enhance your playing. Sam can teach many different genres of music and is excited to learn how he can help you reach your musical goals.
