About

Rebekah has performed on stage in front of audiences as large as 3500 people as a vocalist and multi-instrumentalist of the nationally-touring folk rock outfit The David Mayfield Parade, shared billing with international acts including The Avett Brothers, Willie Nelson, and The Civil Wars, and played more than 200 live shows per year.
A multitude of shows played throughout the Cleveland and Akron area since 2014 have garnered Rebekah an enthusiastic and discerning fan base who enjoy jazz, classic country, folk, Appalachian ballads, and the powerful experience only the most dynamic vocal performer is able to deliver.
Listeners have often described the “chills” felt when Rebekah sings, eliciting comparison to the vocal quality of Alison Krauss, emotional depth of Gillian Welch, and the stage personality of Lucille Ball and Marilyn Monroe.
As a recording artist, Rebekah has independently released an EP of original songs, a full-length album, and a 7" vinyl in the jazz genre. A limited-release vinyl of original material, recorded at The Ernest Tube, is forthcoming.
Rebekah has appeared as a vocalist and instrumentalist on many releases by other bands and artists, shared supporting vocals with Dierks Bentley, recorded in Nashville’s legendary RCA Studio B and Northeast Ohio’s own legendary Summa Studios with the late Paul Hamman.
The foundation of Rebekah’s vocal expertise is church performance, having first picked up a microphone in the soulful musical environment of her southern Pentecostal church in Euclid, Ohio at the age of 2. After she began writing melodies on piano in first grade, her parents signed her up for lessons, which she continued until middle-school. Her only formal experience in classical vocals she gained as a soprano in the Cleveland Orchestra Youth Chorus under the direction of Betsy Burleigh, practicing solfege, singing in Latin and German, and performing in Cleveland's Severance Hall. Self-taught in guitar and songwriting, Rebekah began performing in local Ohio venues after gaining some touring experience with her college band Here’s to the Long Haul, and later touring as a mult-instrumentalist and vocalist with indie rock group The Lighthouse & the Whaler before recording her full-length record and eventually joining The David Mayfield Parade. Following her personal departure from Mayfield, Rebekah made her own music in the form of classic country and honky-tonk performances around Cleveland while penning songs for her next album of original work.
Today, Rebekah can still be found entertaining listeners who are eager to take in the pure and powerful sounds of vocally-driven, stripped-down arrangements of her own songs, teaching college students about writing, making music with her young daughter in their east side home, and equipping vocalists with techniques to enhance their practice and performance in a tangible and satisfying way.
