Teaches in Denver, CO
From Boulder, Colorado
Guitar, and Ukulele
Originally from New York, Scott relocated to Boulder, Colorado with his wife and 3.5 year old son in 2019. From an early age, Scott knew he wanted to be a professional musician. Through the years, Scott has collaborated with singer/songwriters and recorded several albums with various artists. He formed instrumental rock bands (HIGH NORTH and VIU) and toured along the US East coast. He is also passionate about collecting and playing vintage pedals and guitars and he is happy to guide students to an instrument that is right for them.
Hugely influenced by the music of the 60s and 70s, Scott has created his unique blend of atmospheric rock that goes from dreamy soundscapes to heavy riffs and everything in between. Improvisation is a key element of his sound which requires understanding band dynamics and using your ear to guide the tune. Having played hundreds of shows since the early 2000s, he's well versed at forming successful bands and rocking out on stage.
Scott customizes his lessons based on the goals of his students. He has a patient approach with beginners, and he teaches music theory and songwriting. Scott will guide you to reach your musical goals. Outside of work, Scott enjoys interviewing musicians & artists on their creative process for the podcast “Frequency Range."
