Melody Ramirez is from San Pedro which is located in Southern California. Music runs in her family and she first took an interest in guitar from a young age just strumming rhythms for fun. As Melody entered middle school she began her musical education through course electives playing piano and learning how to read music which she continued through high school. Melody is a recent Cal State LA graduate and has received her Bachelor's of Music in Music Education. She has currently joined the Alwani Orchestra. Melody has worked with private instructors Zachary Deak and Rafael Liebich for three years on piano and continues to expand her knowledge of repertoire during her free time. With plans to return to Cal State LA for her teaching credential this upcoming school year, she will be receiving a license in multiple-subject education. In all, Melody has a total of three years teaching children from high school to as young as elementary school. Melody knows how to balance fun with structure and discipline. In addition to teaching music, she enjoys spending her free time hiking, playing video games, and archery.
