About
Alfredo is a pleasant teacher who understands the importance of the student's individual process. Although his teaching style comes from various sources, he prefers to work mostly with the Suzuki method. He began his music studies at the age of 8. He studied classical guitar in his youth. Upon finishing his secondary education, he obtained his degree in Musical Pedagogy at the National Pedagogical University of Colombia, his native country. While at the university he studied choral conducting, piano accompanist and cello, an instrument that he played with the Batuta Youth Symphony Orchestra, between 1994 and 2002. He began teaching himself the violin, and has played it for more than 30 years in different bands and musical groups. As part of his comprehensive musical career he took lyrical singing lessons, developing his tenor range. Upon arriving in the United States he obtained his certification in Piano Tuning and Restoration. Since 2004, he has taught students of all ages, but prefers to work with children and teenagers. Her influences come from classical music, Latin American folk music and mariachi band music.
He lives in Gwinnett County with his wife and two children. Although he lived in Wisconsin for a year, he decided to return to Georgia because for him "there is no greener and friendlier place in the entire country than here."
