Alex began studying piano at El Camino when he was 17. He then transferred to California State University, Long Beach where he earned a degree in Piano Performance. He has taught piano for more than ten years, tutored college students in music theory, accompanied choirs, and played in hospitals and hospices. He earned a second bachelor's in psychology and has worked extensively with students with special needs.
