Ian Baker lives in Cincinnati, Ohio, where he got his start performing in musicals, as well as playing piano and violin. As a composer, he’s worked on small film projects, organized performances of the scores live to picture, and written pieces for multiple ensembles. Recently graduating from New York University, he earned a BM in Music Theory and Composition with a concentration in Screen Scoring. At NYU, he studied composition with Mark Suozzo and Greg Pliska. While a self-taught pianist, Ian learned violin through school and lessons and has experience teaching basic concepts to learn instruments as well as the complex music theory behind pieces. When not playing his many instruments or producing and composing music, Ian enjoys cooking and baking and 3D printing props from his favorite movies.
