After discovering a love for music early in life, Kervin began formal training in elementary school. He went on to become a member of the rotation of musicians at church and was inspired to seek further training. Throughout his musical career, Kervin has studied under notable musicians such as the late Dr. Kaestner Robertson, Dr. Rosie Ward, Mr. Darrel Daniel, and Ms. Eunmi Choi.

Kervin played as part of church worship services in the United States and the Caribbean, has provided music for weddings, funerals, and special events.

During musical training, he studied: steel pan; tuba; organ; and played instruments that make up a percussion section. He also performed in concert and recordings with ensembles from the University of the Southern Caribbean like: the University Choir and Orchestra of; the Concert Band; University Steel Orchestra; University Ringers; and the Percussion Band.

Kervin is finishing up his studies for a Bachelor of Music degree with an education emphasis, and he is a Piano teacher with experience teaching wide age range.
