Olivia Fries-Farr is a vocalist, multi-instrumentalist, lyricist, and composer working in multiple music genres: rock, blues, jazz, metal, alternative, northern Indian, and pop. She earned her Bachelor of Fine Arts in Music with an emphasis in Experimental Pop and minors in Social Science and Digital Arts from the California Institute of the Arts (CalArts). Olivia started her music journey singing from the age of 18 months and piano at the age of 5. She has performed in over 250 shows and has created two main bands where she composes and arranges her original music and lyrics. Her extensive background in music and performance is the foundation of her teaching experience. Conceptualizing the students' interests and goals, she helps actualize an approach for each individual's learning style to achieve the desired results. Teaching voice, guitar, bass, piano, and composition, she is able to explain simple to complex music terms, theory, share her real life experience, and provide present day or historical examples.
