About

Belice Rivarola is a passionate and experienced music educator with a deep-rooted love for music that began at 11. Her formative years were spent at a performing music school, where she honed her skills in bass and vocals from ages 12 to 18. During this time, Belice also engaged in over 12 music projects across the DFW area, showcasing her versatility and commitment to her craft. She is a classically trained vocalist who has developed a comprehensive understanding of music across genres.

Based in Austin, Texas, Belice is the bassist, lead singer of a shoegaze project and an active DJ. Her musical journey has been greatly influenced by her former music instructor, whom she considers a mentor, and by the many talented musicians and engineers she has collaborated with in the DFW and Austin areas.

Belice holds a B.S. in Arts and Entertainment Technologies from The University of Texas at Austin, specializing in audio engineering and computer music composition. With over 100 hours of volunteer music teaching experience from her high school years and professional experience at a music institution in Austin, she has taught students of all ages and levels. Belice is exceptionally dedicated to creating inclusive curriculums, especially for neurodiverse students, and tailors her lessons to suit each student's individual needs and interests. While she is enthusiastic about teaching any and all genres of music, Belice emphasizes the importance of technique, ensuring that her students master the basics before diving into more advanced concepts.

Outside of teaching, Belice's interests include figure skating, roller derby, and musical theater. She is also active in the local music scene, attending and organizing shows. Fluent in English, Spanish, Italian, and Catalan, Belice brings a unique cultural perspective to her teaching. And, finally, her drink of choice is Coca-Cola, and her go-to meal is soup!
