About

Josiah has been teaching the Piano to young students and adults alike since 2020. He has experience with all ages starting at 4 years old. He focuses on technique, sight reading, music theory, general music knowledge and understanding of concepts such as history, culture, and fundamentals. He has a massive passion for all things learning and the sharing of knowledge, and works very hard to ensure his students succeed while enjoying their lessons.

Josiah also taught Ukulele as part of his children's Choir Program for St. John's Lutheran School, a private school in his hometown of Bakersfield. In it students learned choir and Ukulele, in addition to basic and foundational musical concepts and ideas.

He also has experience with choir and general music instruction, with the direction aimed at preparing students to move on to more advanced music programs such as band, advanced choir, bell and percussion ensemble, and theater. He focuses on the fundamentals such as beginning music theory, music history, music appreciation and genre knowledge, and general understanding of the baseline fundamentals of music including rhythm, pitch distinguishment, and other concepts such as solfège.
