About

Mark has lived and worked in several countries across the globe, including Canada and Thailand. He began his musical studies on piano, and then switched to guitar by age 12. Mark is an accomplished guitar player, and he has studied and performed a variety of musical genres including rock, jazz, classical, country, and bluegrass. He has recorded with his musical projects at Mighty Fine Studios and Side3 Studios in Denver, CO.
Mark enjoys working with students of all ages, and is committed to helping students advance their playing skills, achieve their goals, and expand their knowledge of music theory and how to apply it in their playing. Mark believes a solid musical foundation is the key to equipping students to go where they want to go with music, and wants to help students become not only good guitar players, but good musicians. Mark holds bachelor’s and master’s degrees in engineering, has been successful in the corporate world, has managed people, and he is familiar with how to balance music into life even if one does not plan to pursue it as a primary career.
