Matthew started his musical journey at 7 years of age where he fell in love with the guitar. After years of daily practice and collaboration with other musicians, he took his musical ambitions to Berklee College of Music in Boston to deepen his understanding of music theory and the guitar. Upon returning to Los Angeles, Matthew furthermore established himself into the music industry going on tour with up and coming bands as a hired session player. His malleability between instruments gave him plenty of opportunities to expand his network while honing his skills on instruments such as the bass guitar and vocals. His current band “Speed Drive” has recorded their upcoming album with acclaimed indie rock songwriter/artist/producer Miles Michaud. Matthew is currently songwriting and playing a multitude of instruments inside and outside of the studio with Speed Drive. Aside from performance and songwriting, Matthew has had 5+ years of teaching experience ranging from beginner-advanced students of all ages.
