Spencer is a life-long multi-instrumentalist. Beginning at the age of 8 with guitar, Spencer spent the following 16 years learning everything he could about music. He now plays acoustic and electric guitar, bass guitar, trumpet, and is learning to sing and play the drums. Spencer spent his youth engaging in school music programs, and starting several of his own. During his teenage and college years, he was in a number of garage-bands, and would perform at every available opportunity. In addition to being a performer, he also assisted other performers with set-up, sound, and tear-down.

In addition to his music, Spencer has an engineering degree and a deep love for learning and science.
