Olivia Honeck began dancing as a form of cross-training while competing as a member of the US Figure Skating Program from 2006-2015. In 2016, her focus shifted solely to dance and began training in ballet, pointe work, jazz, modern, contemporary, musical theatre, heels and vogue techniques. Olivia is the 2017 recipient of the Ruth DeYoung Kohler Arts Scholarship. She graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee in 2022 with a Bachelors of Fine Arts in dance performance and choreography along with a minor in theater production. She has choreographed professional and pre-professional dance works that have been performed across Wisconsin, Illinois, and California. Additionally, Olivia has performed in works by acclaimed choreographers Mackenzie Martin, Mair Culbreth, Gina Laurenzi, Darcy Wutz, Debra Lowen, and Emmy nominated choreographer Venetia Stifler. Olivia is currently a dancer with Geometry Dance Company in Los. Angeles, California. Mind-body connection is a driving force in her movement practice and teachings. As a dance teacher it is her goal to provide a safe and inclusive space for dancers of all ages and abilities. Dancers will walk away from each class with a deeper understanding of their individual artistic expression and movement capabilities.
