About

Anthony is an active educator, born and raised in Mesa, AZ. He started playing drumset in the 4th grade and did formal school band all throughout his secondary school career. He then went on to march the ASU's SDMB as well as 2 summers of DCI and 5 seasons of WGI. Anthony has a hand in all genres, studying jazz and latin in art school, and specializing in rock extracurricularly. While being music oriented, Anthony has a Bachelor's in Biology from ASU. Anthony has also been teaching drumline since 2015 and currently teaches at Gilbert High School and Breakthrough Indoor. Anthony comes from a family of educators and has learned to interpret information to all age groups while making music fun! In his free time Anthony enjoys baking and has a pop punk project under his name: Anthony Cortez.
