Michael is orginally from the Boston, MA area. He is now an active musician in Madison, WI. As a performer and composer, Michael regularly collaborates with jazz groups, pit orchestras, theater organizations, as well as many others. He has over 10 years experience an an educator, teaching students ages 5-adult. Michael holds degrees from the University of Louisville in Louisville, KY and Westfield State University in Westfield, MA. A versatile educator, Michael teaches woodwinds, brass, piano, and electric bass. Michael adapts lessons to the needs of each student. He emphasizes musical fundamentals, while collaborating with students to identify their goals. His experience has shown that when students participate in goal setting, the outcome is enriched appreciation and understanding of their instrument. In addition to music he enjoys being outdoors, and especially birdwatching.
