About

Charlie Lyttle is a guitarist, songwriter, and music producer with over 20 years of experience. He grew up in Los Angeles and earned his Bachelor’s Degree from New York University in Music. Charlie recently relocated back to Los Angeles after a decade in New York City, where he taught guitar, songwriting, and music production to students of all ages and skill levels.

As a college student, Charlie studied jazz guitar with renowned Telecaster master Jim Campilongo, with whom he learned the art of the chord solo and solo electric guitar performance. Concurrently, he honed his writing, production, and performing chops as the primary songwriter, co-producer, and lead guitarist of the NYC electronic rock band Mars English, opening for such acts grammy-nominated singer Omar Apollo, Soccer Mommy, and Boyish. He continues to write and record folk, rock and electronic music as a solo artist. His electronic composition practice has expanded to include techno, dance, and ambient works. Through his teaching practice, Charlie prioritizes theory and technique as tools to support creative expression and musical exploration. He collaborates with his students to design unique and personal lesson curriculums tailored to their specific musical interests.
