Jordan Gibbs wanted to learn how to play guitar at an early age. He began his musical career with piano lessons at the age of 8, and continued taking piano lessons until he turned 10. Shortly after that he began taking electric guitar lessons and instantly fell in love with guitar. Learning electric guitar lead him to learn a wide variety of genres and styles of playing. From lead guitar to rhythm guitar! After about a year and a half Jordan decided to change his electric guitar instructor and learn more about the acoustic guitar. Although it can be played the same way as a “electric guitar” it’s a completely different sound and feel. At the age of 13 Jordan began taking acoustic guitar lessons from the Music Center in Hickory NC, and developed a new love for the guitar. He continued taking lessons there until the age of 15 and then he went out and began playing guitar at school events and music shows and festivals. Jordan has a deep understanding of guitar chords guitar scales, and ways to teach rhythm guitar. Jordan also is able to play by ear and can try to teach the students how to play by ear as well. Jordan also has experience with guitar lessons and has given lessons to multiple young adults and children. Jordan loves music and music is his life and he loves to share it with others. So if you are wanting to learn how to play, he will find the time to teach you! Practice makes perfect.
