About
Originally from Buffalo, New York, Rodneya(rod-NEE-uh) moved to Charlotte with her family at a very young age, where she stayed until attending college. She graduated from Immaculata University with a Bachelor's in Music Therapy and enjoys working with people of all ages, but especially children! As a Board-Certified Music Therapist, Rodneya is equipped to meet students where they are, no matter their needs or ability levels. She is a lifelong musician and lover of the arts. At age 4, her father began teaching her organ, and while she doesn't still play organ, these lessons ignited her love of music. The second time she remembers falling in love with music was when she watched Disney's Fantasia and Fantasia 2000. Her primary instruments are clarinet/bass clarinet, but she also plays piano, guitar, ukulele, and dabbles in tenor sax and flute. In the future, she hopes to learn cello, trumpet, trombone, and maybe the harp! Rodneya is currently a member of the Piedmont Community Band, where she plays bass clarinet. When she's not making music, Rodneya enjoys dancing, rock climbing, and playing video games with her friends.
