Teaches in Northern Los Angeles
From Los Angeles, California
Ilana comes from a musical family, where she started her musical journey at the age of six. She received her B.A in performing arts in classical violin from the Jerusalem Academy of Music and Dance. During the years of her studies, she received many scholarships, and she took part in important musical projects such as the students exchange in Europe, and orchestral projects throughout Israel.
As a part of her international musical career, she participated in various orchestral, choir and chamber music projects, including performances on the Israeli TV. Ilana was the principal violin in a chamber quintet performing all around Israel, a solo performer, an orchestral freelancer and a devoted teacher to her many students. During her work with children, she established children’s orchestras and chamber music groups in different schools and conservatories using the ‘Suzuki’ method, along with many other methods.
Since moving to Los Angeles, she continues being an active solo violinist and group instrumentalist in various genres. She develops teaching methods for individualized approaches, adjusted for every student.
