About

Megan Pryor originally hails from California but has since made Denver her happy home. She has been singing and acting for thirteen years, and has performed at The Ellie Caulkins Opera House in Denver and the Macky Auditorium in Boulder. Recent roles and engagements include being the featured soloist in Berio's "12 Folksongs", Mary in Jake Heggie's 'It's A Wonderful Life', Miles in Britten's 'The Turn of The Screw', Anybodys in Bernstein's 'West Side Story', and The Beggar Woman in Sondheim's 'Sweeney Todd'. A graduate from The University of Colorado at Boulder's prestigious Voice & Opera program, she holds a Bachelor of Music in Vocal Performance with additional emphasis in Musical Theatre. She has also studied in New York with top teachers and coaches including Amy Burton and Joshua Green.
She has been teaching voice for over a year and specializes in classical, musical theatre, choral, contemporary, and jazz styles and she is comfortable with young voices. She is also experienced in teaching beginning piano, music theory, musicianship, beginning yoga, and theatrical coaching.
Her lessons take a holistic approach, which seeks to individualize each lesson plan to fit each unique student. She believes in meeting each student at their level and treating them as equals on a journey of musical education together. Megan is warm, approachable, knowledgeable, and thrives on helping students discover their confidence and critical thinking skills through music.
